The Barossa Valley is about 1 hour drive from the City of Adelaide. If you plan to visit the Barossa Valley, there are many wineries that can be visited in one day and return to Adelaide that night. However, we recommend you spend 1 night in the Barossa, as there are some great restaurants and wineries to visit, without having to drive straight back to Adelaide. We highly recommend you visit these wineries below. They are rated as some of the best in the world. One of the Shiraz (Syrah) at Kellermeister is rated in the top 5 in the world by international critics. All tastings at wineries are free, or a small fee required.
